Suprisingly, caracals,Servals and domestic housecats can interbreed. Look it up, I believe there is a certain specie named even after that. Edit: Looked up the name, Savannah cats (Servals and domestic housecats). and then the ever so beautiful Caracat (Caracals and domestic housecats.)

the black maine coon has all the usual traits of a Maine Coon. Totally relaxed, not bothered by much, intelligent, and not intimidated by a larger cat.. I had 5 Maine Coones at one stage, sadly 4 have passed but still have one left they are beautiful cats and that Caracal is stunning also.

I swear house cats are both equally brave and weirdly afraid of nothing, you can put a cucumber on the floor and they'll FREAK OUT, you put a big wild cat in the same room and they just sniff them and walk away like it's not a big deal xD I just love their quirky personalities

If the Maine Coon here is under 3 to 5 years old it won’t be Full Grown yet. There is the BIG Maine Coon… there is the Medium Maine Coon and there is what’s called the Normal Maine Coon. Wait until if this is the BIG Maine Coon to when it is 3 to 5 years old! The Maine Coon is One… of the Bigger Cat Breeds. Because the Maine Coon is Domestic… the Big Cat Safety Rules do not apply. @@P71-Undead I am talking about a domestic house cat standing up against a Caracal which is a wild cat with superior speed, strength, size, etc. A Caracal is part of the cat family. Not sure where dogs come into the picture. But even that is only an act by the cat trying to scare the dog with its approach.. Cats might stand up to dogs, but if the dog truly intends to harm the cat it will simply bite into its neck and the cat will die. I've seen a boxer do it casually. Most pit bulls on the street will also tear up cats. Ask DMX what his dogs used to do to cats on the streets. You're comparing cats and dogs living together in the same household and the humans being pack leaders not approving of the dogs' behaviour. Cats might even try and stand up against humans, but if a human truly wants to he can kill a cat in a matter of seconds. I've had a large domestic cat come into my living space to terrorize my cat and it tried to raise its back and attack me. That act only lasted a few seconds until I showed the cat he is an intruder. The cat tried though, so I give him credit for having a fighting spirit, but not in my space. A cat this size will have trouble killing a human. Perhaps it's better to not say something is not true before you think it through and look at what I said in the first place.

@@francoisnel5253 You do realize I never said the cats can kill any of these animals. My point was cats don't care if they are out powered they will defend themselves. You prove my point when talking about how dogs will easily kill a cat if they wanted but cats still attack dogs when threatened. I own a Maine Coon so what I'm trying to tell you is they're chill but would have no problem with fighting if they felt threatened. Not trying to argue it's just a well known fact Also I've owned 2 German Shepherds which were terrified of cats. We also got 2 kittens and a new Germain Shepherd and the kittens were terrified and would fight even though they were tiny. They don't care if they're out powered so it's not a reason why cats would be chill like this Maine Coon

@@P71-Undead I'm not disagreeing about cats willing to stand up for themselves. But my original point was about a cat and a caracal (also a cat). And that I'm sure the Maine coon realized deep down inside that he is dealing with a more advanced cat (Caracal) and the defence is just in their nature, but I doubt the Maine coon or any domestic cat really believes they can take out a Caracal which hunts animals for a living generally. A Caracal is cat level 2.0. A Main Coon is big, cute and hairy, but still a domesticated cat. For example Caracal even hunts and eat other wild cats like Serval. And even a Serval will take out any domestic house cat.

Do I need to remind you about Syberia with minus 30-40 celsius as «good» temperature in winter with 2-3 meters of snow? And there are more examples besides. Maybe the caracal thought that they main coon was threatened because of all that fur. Some animals in the wild will actually puff up their fur when threatened to make themselves look bigger and scare predators in self defense. 😊

Всё же на фоне Мелисы можно отлично увидеть, какой Кун огромный. Он даже на фоне сервала и каракала не выглядит мелким. В будущем обязательно один из моих котов будет кто-то подобный, всегда мечтал о большом и грозном коте)

Опять искусство! - не могу не отметить превосходную работу редактора Александра Решетникова. Музыкальное сопровождение - это же как оно усиливает действие видео, на мелкое движение как касание носиками, лапкой, подергивание хвостиком или замирание, напряжение в кадре, на все есть свой звук, - музыка! И в музыке вырисовывается своя сюжетная линия, свой театр действий. Особенно понравился момент на 0.32, когда в кадре из перспективы каракала под звуки триллерской музыки показывают Куна. Мне бы тоже страхово стало. Спасибо огромное за суперскую работу и профессионализм. Кате с Александром повезло!

Of course Kun is not bothered. He regularly puts larger, wild cats in their place. He has raised a number of lynx and Bobcat kittens.

Another thing to note is that cats also communicate by pheromones and scent signals, lending to their language, which may differ between species. the reason why the caracal seemed intent on smelling the domestic cats is that it probably doesn’t understand their scent signals like from another caracal. So for the domestic cats, not only is the caracal a much bigger threat, it also doesn’t share their language, which is probably why once they got over their fear, they decided to relax around it, but still not really engaging in play; the safest option.

Так у них шансы примерно равны, вес почти одинаковый. А любая обычная домашняя кошка, может справится с лисой, что говорить уж о мейнкуне. Каракалы просто агресивней чем мейнкуны

У меня 3 Сибирские Хаски, но я всегда был и буду в восторге от кошачьих они все очень красивые в частности дикие, Барсы, Тигры, Львы, Пумы, Рыси ... все они производят восторг и всегда охото таких пощупать. Не понимаю ту часть людей что любят так скажем один класс животных а остальных ненавидят, Лично мне нравятся все, хоть змеи, все очень интересные, однако насекомых я не терплю.

@@Кузькинамать-ж3о Это правильная позиция, я с ней согласен и я ее придерживаюсь, все существа прекрасны. Те же бродячие собаки были нормальными, до того момента как они утратили доверие к человеку за его поступки. Ибо я знаю много Хаски которые меняли хозяев чуть ли не каждый месяц, дети поиграли и бросили, а родители не могут помочь щенку найти семью втихоря выбрасывая. Те же Догхантеры, вот насколько надо быть отбитым что бы таким заниматься.
